Dr. Christian Vega has worked as an assistant researcher for the CCRHP, since May 2020. He served as a medical consultant for questionnaire design and elaboration for both the PREPCOVI and MONOCOV projects. For the latter, he is an active recruiter/interviewer as well. Dr. Vega has additionally contributed to the development of multiple evidence-based health promotion materials, particularly in topics related to the COVID-19 pandemic. He completed a bachelor’s degree in N.S Cellular Molecular Biology at the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras Campus and graduated as a medical doctor from the Universidad Central del Caribe in Bayamon, Puerto Rico in 2019.
Research Interests: His research interests primarily dwells around areas concerning primary and preventive care, such as influenza diagnosis and vaccination; COVID-19 diagnosis and vaccination; and cardiometabolic diseases, such as Diabetes mellitus and hypertension.
