Kai Guo (Ph.D.)

Dr. Guo is an Assistant Professor and Statistician of the Center for Clinical Research and Health Promotion at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus. She has a Doctorate in Applied Mathematics from the Mathematics Department of University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. Her main duties are developing and applying biostatistical theory and methods to the study of life sciences to generate insights used to support and improve healthcare outcomes and processes. She analyzes clinical or survey data, using statistical approaches such as OLS regression, generalized linear models, robust regression, mixed-effect models, and performing longitudinal analysis, survival analysis, power analysis and Bayesian analysis.
